Rachel Jeanette Blomberg

From her training and through several collaborations within different fields of performance art, she see herself as a contemporary dance artist that both create and perform. Rachel´s choreographic research often follows intution and is interested in the transfer from spontanious ideas to how those would work in practice. In addition to her dance practice she enjoys physical training of all form, and is engaged in nutrition for dancers.

"In both rehearsal and performance she showed a consummately professional attitude, being very easy to work with and at all times giving a finely honed and high-quality performance.  I would not hesitate to work with her again should I have the opportunity to do so."

Peter Fender, Composer

"As a performer Rachel is confident and clear. She has the capacity to move between abstract movement work to a more theatrical performance mode with ease and fluidity. Rachel is bright and present in rehearsals and has a very generous quality in how she offers herself to the work and audience. Rachel takes on information quickly and pays attention to detail and applies this to her understanding of how she is moving. She has a clear understanding of the context in which she is working and is attentive to herself and others. "

Marina Collard, dance teacher, practitioner and choreographer

"Rachel has a wonderful easy facility and openness and this piece engaged her strong technical skills and opened a dramatic humorous tension and conversation that really futrhered the aesthetic of the work in excellent ways. Rachel is an indipendent learner and is also able to work well with others, creating orginally different duets and sets of connections with others that linked together in a wonderfull way. "
